Heading off to the lake for 5 days

wow to quick of a trip...
but been there done that me self..
that you can relax and enjoy life is the important thing..

We're heading back out there in just a few minutes. I hope the rain lets up so we can fish a little.

Well, it's Wed. and we drove back home for a bit. The weather is just ugly, rain, some hail and high winds. We went out to fish this morning and nearly froze due to the wind chill, so we went back to the motor home and took a nap!

My son had a parent-teacher conference this after noon, so I came back with him to visit my furry kids. We'll be going back to the lake later today. I just hope it calms down enough to BBQ outside this evening! I hope we get a little fair weather before we have to come home.

I went through my cabinets in the motorhome and came across the 119 I had taken out there. When I took it out of the sheath, I realised it has the inverted stamp and four micarta spacers. Heck, I thought I'd taken a new one out there to use. This one looks new, and I have no idea when or where I got it.

I'll take photos when I get back and see if anyone can help me out with dating it.

1972.

I think I remember loaning that to you. Just send it back to me.

:)

Well, my son and I finally had enough of the cruddy weather and decided to come home this afternoon instead of tomorrow.

Turns out the 119 I discovered in the motorhome is a 2 line, Buck and USA (read tip down). It has four micarta spacers and the one on the handle side of the guard covers the whole guard. It has about a 1/4" shorter blade and a different shaped blood groove than the others. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Welcome back Plum, sorry the weather stunk:thumbdn: At least you found something you didnt realize you had:thumbup:
