...so the wife wants to go up that way (about two hr drive) to go shop. She know's I'm not a "shopper" so, once I boot her out at the mall....BAM!...straight to the Slobberfest at the Buck fort down the street! I plan on going in low and hard...I've already rehearsed three variations of excuses for a possible massive purchase. That feller in the Buck store is a silver tongued little devil...he gets me everythime.;)

Have fun while your there! It may not be as much fun explaining yourself to the Mrs. afterwards! :D

I gotta move closer to ID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the plan of "going in low and hard" ... Hey, Mothers Day and Father's Day is coming up . Maybe your anniversary ! I'm always telling my wife,"that darn son-in-law better apperciate this knife ." Thing is my girls aren't married yet and don't even have a boy friend . DM ;)

I've gotta take that trip sometime, but for me it's a long days drive and an overnighter.

It took us three long days and two nights, with KIDS just to get there . As I brought my display of Buck knives . DM

For me it's a one long day drive each way. But to make the most of it I'd have to stay 2 nights to have a full day over there. I think the next time I'm visiting the Grande Ronde Valley in eastern Oregon I'll plan a side trip up that way, maybe take in some Snake River and Grande Ronde River (good fishing) explorations as well - a camping/fishing excursion ending up with some new knives.... or better yet, starting out with new knives.

Good plan. :)

Yikes, according to MapQuest, it's over 1200 miles for me one way. I'd love to go, so maybe someday I'll pack up the motorhome and head up there. It has huge storage compartments underneath, so I'd have plenty of room to bring home the Bucks!

On second thought, after buying all the fuel for the beast, I might not have any money left to spend on knives.:(

So, you might have some 'splaining to do. Could be worse. You could be Tiger Woods.

:D

Just do like the Congress, and say(It's for the children). That line always seems to work! I served with Tigers Dad long before he was born.We had a few cool ones on more than one occasion. Like father like son. He was a good man.

Nothing worse than seeing a guy in his fifties throwing an absolute tantrum fit on the floor of the Buck factory cuz he didn't get to buy something and she knows it.....:D

Hey....if you collect knives, you gotta be willing to go the distance....

After you spend your allowance at the BUCK Factory Store.

You can also swing by Cabella's as it's off the same exit to Have Lunch ;)

yes i would rather explain knives then mistresses to the MRS. !
and i highly recommen lunch at cabella's!

I love the word Uzi! Bought one just because! And, no, it's not for the children.

Good on you for being able to hit the factory! Hope you have a great time.

Woke the chickens up at 4am.....put an hour glass look on the ATM machine already.... car is fueled and pointing North (should I take the F350 with the heavy axles?).....going over "Need List".....rehearsed all excuse lines perfectly...yeah baby...lets kick the tires and light the fires....I'm on a blade quest to POST FALLS today!!!
