Half day's ride from Canmore (providing, no cops, fair weather, dry roads and no delays at US Customs), plus I have a cousin in Coeur d' Alene where I can stay.

Arrrrggg....got into Spokane and as we were traveling along the freeway, a guy in front of me lost the spare tire out from under his old pickup in front of me. We were in my wife's car and that darn tire nearly took the front end off our car. The guy didn't have insurance and the car sustained about $2600 in damages to the front end, grill, radiator and that HUGE stain in the driver's seat. We had to rent a car to get home...by the time all was done, we didn't have time to make it to the factory after all....sad day all around. I'll get back up there soon though.....just a bad ju-ju day I guess.:mad::mad::mad:

Glad that you all are OK, sorry about the car and the hassle. The next trip will more than make up for your troubles on this one.

I don't want to get started on the uninsured motorist topic...but something needs to be changed/done...

Yep, garryale is right, life and health are more important. You can get back there later as pjsjr says and make up for it. A disappointment nevertheless.
