Headlamp or penlight, which light is better for camping ?

20+ years ago, my hunting/camping friends and I all carried 2AA Mini-Mags. I still remember when some genius came out with an elastic headband attached to an elastic band that the Mini-Mag would slip into. I haven't been without a headlight since. The 3AAA Streamlight Clipit works pretty well for me.
 
Headlamp. No contest. Hands free when camping or during a night hike works so much better. Just turn it off around the campfire as not to blind people you're talking to.
