Headlamps?

+1heresthedeal on Wal-Mart LED white/red..3 aaa batteries, long run times and cheap. My wife is a short-term medical-missionary and has used ours all over the world for years..my job is to put fresh batteries before each trip. It's headed to Nepal next week.

I'm still using an old incandescent Wal-Mart head lamp for waterfowl hunting in salt environment and OK but heavy...good adjustable throw for checking the dekes and staying off the rocks.

I like the cheap but dependable headlights but then always have a secondary light available[hunting partner or Q-Beam in the duck boat].

That does look like an awesome headlamp, and would have no problems buying it except for one thing - CR123 batteries. Yes, I could bunker a boatload of them, but I'd rather stick with an AA or AAA model.

If you get the full sized model it will take AA batteries in addition to CR123's.

I use a petzel tikka 2 and it is super reliable and pretty much water proof and you can get red lenses for it
