dayum!
thanks for taking us along Trade -- that looks like some spectacular scenery.
Looks like an awesome trip,
Damn, I would love to paddle that. Thanks for bringin us along.
Wow. That is completely incredible. Pretty neat running into those old gals.
When we went west, it was hard for the views to soak in. It always felt like I was looking at a postcard or something.
Glad you had a great time. Also glad to hear that you didn't encounter too many people.
Fantastic, trade! Thanks for sharing such a special journey.
Looks like a great trip done right.... thanks for showing those!
What an awesome trip! Those pictures are breath taking.
I am trying to plan a canoe trip for next summer, I hope it is as fun as what you showed here.
Jeremy
That looks like an amazing trip. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
You sire, have enjoyed yourself entirely too much. Back to the pits with you!
I have been a long time lurker on the Becker forms and just had to chime in on this thread... what inspirational pics!!! My wife and I are avid canoeists, mostly in Minnesota (BWCA area), but were not able to go this year due to expecting our first born in just a few weeks. I always wanted to canoe the Little Missouri which has to be done early in the year due to water levels. I kept putting it off and may still have to because this trip looks like a no-brainer. Thanks to you and the other Beckerheads that continue to have the best and most informative threads on bladeforums... I hope to join someday and get a number myself.
If you ever want to go Dubz, we've got a number of boats.
We would love to get up in the BWCA, hopefully next spring. That's another bucket list trip for us. Thanks for the kind words and welcome to the forum, hope you stick around.
great pics tradewater. but, even better is the passion with which you speak of your journey. thanks much.
Nice thread. Good times.
I'll bet he was. Exactly what it looks like. Very cool.Thank you very much, I appreciate that. Being somewhere like that touches something in us I think. Glad you enjoyed it.
Since this is bumped up I'd like to pass something along to Dubz. You mentioned earlier that one of the pictures reminded you of ancient Greek ruins. Apparently they did Captain Lewis as well. He said:
...In other places we see the remains or ruins of ancient elegant buildings; some collumns standing and almost entire with their pedestals and capitals....
I thought that was kind of interesting. Makes you wonder if he was talking about the very same spot.
great pics tradewater. but, even better is the passion with which you speak of your journey. thanks much.
