HEADS UP! Two early Mean Streets for sale!

Sort of makes you wonder. I ended up with a Mean Street that the same seller sold to another individual as a Lean Mean Street. Turns out it was a .230 stock regular Mean Street. On top of that "someone" had taken Magic Marker and gone over most of the edges and surfaces of the coating to touch it up. In my email correspondence the same seller professed ignorance about the finish and the difference between Lean and Regular Mean Street. Got into the knife on a trade so I opted to keep and it's back with Jerry now getting some "special" treatment. I guess the old saying "buyer beware" applies

Nice job Danbo! Thanks for contacting the bidders.

I have sent the seller (Chet Latham) 3 different emails and he has not responded to any of them. The knife that Raindrop sent in is ridiculous! It is completely covered in magic marker including the edge and the handle slabs in front and back. This same dealer has refused to answer any of my calls and emails concerning another matter. He goes by MisterKnifeGuy.com. I mistakenly sent an email to Mr.KnifeGuy.com and asked why he would not answer my inquiries. It turns out that Mr.KnifeGuy is a federally registered trademark of a completely different dealer who has, likewise, tried to get some response from Chet concerning this issue and has yet to receive a response.

If any of you have contact with Chet Latham, please tell him that it is imperative that he contact me immediately. He knows why.

In the meantime, it is buyer beware when it comes to any Busse knives from this dealer.

Thanks,

Jerry Busse

I've got 2 busse's from Chet. The first was a Natural Outlaw I got in a trade it was flawless with rowe leather and original sheath. The second more recent was the Police Recruit with Ironwood and a nice leather sheath. The knife wasn't perfect "had magic marker in places", but I wanted a user. Here are a few of his email addy's. mrknifeguy@chartermi.net
I had 2 others but can't find them I'll post them if I find them.

Thanks for the additional info Raden. Seems like the "someone" that did the magic marker trick on my Mean Street does it on a regular basis  In his message he states that he noticed the knife had an odd finish but didn't pay attention. Also mentioned that he had a 5/16" Mean Street that is the one he ended up listing.

I think this is the same guy who has some fans:rolleyes:
in the Good, Bad and Ugly forum!!NOT

Here is the police recruit I got from Chet.
