This is a revised and updated release recommended to me by my internist.
Authors are with the National Institute for Health. It worked for me.... Total cholesterol went down from 233 (november '05) to 178... not perfect, still have room for improvement, but No drugs and No statins involved. Pretty easy, even for a sometimes-disciplined guy like me.
LDL (bad chol.) went from 159 to 109, Triglycerides (other blood fats)went from 191 to 147. Results are results.

This book is a treasure. What I like about it is what's missing: no foo-foo new-age bullsh!te, no mystical chakra talk or Eight Limbs of the Universe, etc.
Included are some very direct, precise instructions for basic, functional yoga poses with clear photos. Also included are modifications and variations. For instance, if you are too tight in the hamstrings, they'll show you a variation to start off with which allows you to complete the pose correctly.
Also included are some Body Diagram front and back colored anatomical charts (helpful) and coverage of basic principles like body alignment, posture, creating dynamic tension and breath, all WITHOUT above-mentioned freak-speak. A well-presented, well-articulated book.
