Happy Columbus Day everybody!

Just back from the clinic and seems the Ecoli infection has been beaten down.

The following info will demonstrate why I have a minimal amount of confidence in the medical community.

Seems some qualified persons had time to study my CTscans and ultrasounds over the weekend and new conclusions. They "think" the tumor is solid and are recommending a biopsy. The clinic is in the process of finding a nephrologist (the guys who specialize in cutting out kidneys) so that a biopsy can be scheduled and performed.

Further, liver shows a couple of suspicious cysts or tumors and needs to be scanned again in 3 months.

It is all karma which I have accepted as being fair and just although I reserve my right to swear and become angry. Worst case is the liver goes which better defines my death day. Next worse case is the left kidney goes which will take its toll in misery.

I remain undaunted and I hope all who read this do the same.

Developments in medical science notwithstanding, there's a lot to be said for growing up in a culture where you go to a guy, pay him in animal hides, and he kills a chicken to make you better.

Then, you either get better, or worse...but you know you've had the best treatment.:)

The ups and downs alone are enough to "daunt" you.

I've spent the last 30 years troubleshooting machinery. Even the most complex machine that I work on is only 1/1000000000th as complex as a human being. I'd hate to have to troubleshoot people.

That being said, you'd think the damn doctors would get their sh*t together!

Take care Bill.

Thanks. I appreciate the well wishes and prayers. Lama Jigme has said, "I can make the conditions more bearable but I cannot change basic karma." But sometimes enough prayers and sufficient faith can.

It ain't over 'till it's over. But when it's over it's over.

I just hope I'm able to sneak out and smoke a Camel now and then.

Uncle Bill, That's great news about the Ecoli. About the CAT scans and the Ultrasound, at least they were working on your case and not their golf game.

Sorry to heard the turn karma is taking. Glad Lama Jigme can ease the pain. Prayers still flying out of Miami.

Gotta love the yo-yo effect.

Good news on the Ecoli though. Here's hoping on the other stuff. :)

Sometimes good news could have been better, and bad news could've been worse. Hang tough Uncle, I ain't heard no fat lady singing.

What Sarge said. We're all pulling for you as before, and I appreciate the updates, good and bad. Although I'd love for all of the news to be good, we all have to face the music sometime and I'm glad you aren't trying to hide it from us.

Life is like a rollercoaster ride. What can you do but hang on til the ride is over. Heres hoping your ride is a long, smooth one. Still sending smoke.

Bill
