Just back from urolgist.

Bad news is reinfected. Another shot and will have to go on meds for 3 weeks again. Back in one month to check progress on infection cure. This prolonged infection is wearing me down. 160 pounds and can't gain an ounce. Weak and poor appetite. Can't even drink more than 3 or 4 Heinekens.

Better news -- super CTscans (latest technology in imaging) show that left kidney has complex cyst. There's a small section which may or may not be cancerous. Doc said biopsy was not cost or info effective. Will check with CTscan again in 4 or 5 months. If significant changes doc thinks he can cut out the cyst and save the kidneys.

Might have developing problem with prostate but no cancer.

Another blood test and urine culture. Will address these at one month checkup of infection.

Tomorrow the cardiologist.

Whenever you find out just what it is you're doing wrong - then knock it off!!!. Til then, continuing to send smoke.
 
Hang in there Uncle Bill...positive thoughts and prayers headed your way! Keep up the great attitude. (I know it's hard.) It's half the battle and the hardest part of the fight.

If you're limited to 3-4 heinekens just means you need to stretch them out and savor them more. :)
 
I know you won't give up and I woun't stop praying for you and Yangdu.
If Papa has problems I'm adding him to my prayers too. Hang in there UB.:)
 
Good luck and enjoy your thanksgiving. I know that 3 or 4 Heinekens are mandatory when I'm around my family during the holidays!!

Just get the large Heinekens.... 3-4 should be plenty. ( at 24oz. ea) Most people put on weight during the holidays.... maybe that'll work to your advantage.

All in all tho, decent news. Remember.... We're rooting for you Bill. You need anything, just shout.
