Those of you who attended Blade Show this year and stopped by the Chris Reeve Knives booth may remember an elderly man sitting back watching it all. He was Chris’s father, Stan visiting from South Africa. If you attended the banquet and heard Chris’s award speech you’d know how much Stan influenced Chris’s ability to create, to turn ideas into objects and to make quality products. Some of you may have met Stan; he was an alert, dear man who made 93 look easy. He flew the long flight from South Africa to the US, braved the entire Blade Show and after the show he traveled with Chris by car from Atlanta to Idaho. He experienced the 4th of July, reconnected with distant relatives and came to the shop daily during his stay. Yesterday, Stan passed away with Chris and Anne by his side. I didn’t know Stan well, but in the short time he was here visiting he was an inspiration. He will definitely be missed. Big hugs to Chris, Anne and Tim.

I'm sorry to hear this. My condolences.

I'm glad he was fortunate enough to visit his family and have his son by his side in his last moments.

To the Reeves - My prayers and condolences are with you in this time of grief. Saying goodbye is never easy, but it appears that this strong family handled it well.
