Heartfelt sympathies to the Reeves

My condolences to Chris, Anne, family and friends.

Kind regards,

Jos

Gonna throw some honeysuckle vines on my campfire tomorrow night for ya'll, Mr. Reeve. I'll cut it with my Sebbie.

I thought it perfect when someone said "That's a good, long life"

I can't think of a better way to go or a better way to watch my father go.

Those of you who attended Blade Show this year and stopped by the Chris Reeve Knives booth may remember an elderly man sitting back watching it all. He was Chris’s father, Stan visiting from South Africa. If you attended the banquet and heard Chris’s award speech you’d know how much Stan influenced Chris’s ability to create, to turn ideas into objects and to make quality products. Some of you may have met Stan; he was an alert, dear man who made 93 look easy. He flew the long flight from South Africa to the US, braved the entire Blade Show and after the show he traveled with Chris by car from Atlanta to Idaho. He experienced the 4th of July, reconnected with distant relatives and came to the shop daily during his stay. Yesterday, Stan passed away with Chris and Anne by his side. I didn’t know Stan well, but in the short time he was here visiting he was an inspiration. He will definitely be missed. Big hugs to Chris, Anne and Tim.
