it is ok to be in this forum, i usually see the makers post it in the custom fixed blade section. I was wondering if you had made it or was a catch and release. there was no way to PM you about it. Once i get some more info, I am interested in it.:)

Its stock removal. RC around 59. I've been making knives for about a year now. I temper in my oven for an hour at 400.

Thanks for getting back to me, I wanted to know how well your knife keeps an edge, that is why I was asking about the heat treat. I am still interested. Can you get a more close up pic of it? I appreciate the time to answer my questions, I have had some bad luck in the past and wanted to be more cautious with this one. Have you tested your knives to see how well the edge stays sharp? Pay pal address please.

sambacurin@gmail.com I haven't tested this one specifically but I have tested others with identical heat treats and identical steels. They can get very sharp and stay sharp. I've chopped some wood with some others and they still stayed sharp. On this knife specifically I have push cut magazine paper rolled into a u shape and also chopped rope with no I'll effects. I will post more pictures soon

Got it, thanks.i like the feel and size of the blade. The only thing I would work on, is maybe make the wood scales a little thicker to balance it out a little and give more to hold onto it in the hand.
