I figured I'd give it a try. Happy with the result, it looks better than the black clip that was starting to loose paint around the edges and on the screws. The almost bronzy look of the screws, standoffs and lanyard tube match the Cuscadi wood quite well.

Looks good, and the scales are very nice too.

Years ago I switched out the screws on my Becker BK-7 to stainless slotted screws, and heat colored them on our gas stove. It darkened them up perfectly.
