I have no heat in my shop and it Western NY, it can get quite cold. I have been firing up my forge and hammering some w1 roundbar to heat the place up (and myself, that hammering is tiring!)

Here is the first fruits of my shop warming venture.

It is W1, forged to shape. I left some of the hammer marks in it just for fun.

The blade is double edged, so check your local laws.

It has a double hamon.

The handle is stabilized box elder burl.

The sheath is leather and designed for in the pocket carry. I played around with some scroll work just for fun.

Price - $170 shipped. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first "I'll take it" gets it.

Nice move leaving the forging marks on the blade. Makes a nice contrast with the box elder. You keep trying new stuff which keeps your designs interesting.

Wow, fast shipping. Very nice knife. Has a nice weight and very sharp. The sheath is nice too. Holds the knife tight. Thanks Matt.

I like the idea of forging a knife - seems like the way to go way back to the roots.

I know people can debate forging vs. stock removal forever. There's no right answer.

I look forward to seeing another one of your forged knives on the board.
