Heat treat kiln

What are you thinking of? Would you like a propane forge or something that you can set to an exact heat like an evenheat?

If you have 220v access get the KF18 if you intend to make Bowie length blades. The 13" smaller unit is limited to shorter blades but you could put it in at an angle.

I have an opportunity to get a heat treat kiln for Christmas. What should i get.
This is my BEST Ba-Humbug reply....Get The GRAN SPORT CORVETTE...Once you get the kiln the door is open and you Will have to buy a Rockwell Hardness tester...Then you will want to play with Stainless Steel so a Nitrogen Dewar will be on the shopping list and aluminum quench plates and stainless foil to wrap the blades...see where this is going...:eek::eek::cool: Have Fun

That is a fine choice....You should be able to produce a Sword...I have two 18's plenty big for my biggest Bowie and they heat up plenty fast on 220/240v...:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I've had a kf22.5 for about 4 years now, love the thing, nothing but good to say about it.
Which controller are you going with?
