Heat treat outsourcing for 1095

Hello,

I'm new to knife making and have produced a nice 10" chefs knife that cannot be progressed any further until it is heat treated. I don't have the tools/facility to do this myself (I tried a scrap piece in a hot bonfire but didn't work so I scrapped the idea.)

So I am looking for somebody who might be able to do this for me for a fee (or free if you're feeling exceptionally generous ;))

Look up Darrin Sanders on here. He has done some of mine and is reasonable and does a good job. He also has a post up in the classifieds section uner The Custom Shop: Services offered.

Thank you Jay. I found his post and it looks like he does it for a reasonable price and rather quick turnaround. I think that I will give that a try!
