Heat Treat Question

Hi guys, I'm a reader with a screen name, but I seldom post. Ever since I started reading this forum (2011), I've been slowly expanding my collection of knives. I went from the lowly dollar store knives to an Old Timer I was passed down. This sparked my interest in knives. Now I have Spydercos, Kershaws and multiple brandings of Benchmade products, namely Blue Class Benchmade and a new set of Lone Wolf knives by Benchmade. Anyway, as I was sitting around this afternoon, I designed a new knife. It's a fixed blade I would EDC. My question lies not in my ability to make the knife, but to heat treat it. I don't have the facilities to do that. I've been looking into the services of Buck's Paul Bos, and I was wondering if that was a good option, and if there were other services I should look into. Price doesn't really matter, but the cheaper, the better, to a point. I'm looking to heat treat a 7" piece of .125x1.5 1084 to about 58-50HRc if that's possible. Any help is appreciated, Thanks- Tink

Bos HT is the best option.

A torch and bucket of quench oil is the cheapest option.

Choose wisely.

Since you have been a reader for two years, I can't understand why you haven't read - FILLING OUT YOUR PROFILE IS A VERY GOOD IDEA.

It may tell someone who lives near you that you need a knife hardened...and get you an offer. At the minimum, it will tell us where you live so we can make intelligent recommendations.
