Normally I only heat treat 2 blades at a time and plate quench them together. I have four S35VN blades that need to be heat treated and was wondering if quickly pulling the first two out, closing the door and letting it come back to temp (2000F and soaking for 15 minutes) then quenching the last two is the correct process.

I do this when doing multiple knives. I may wait 10 minutes or 15 minutes between pulling each blade out. I'm generally doing something else while I'm heat treating. I don't think the time is that critical.

I throw a blank between my plates in a vise that sits below a fan, go mill/drill/grind something, then do the next one.

No need for a second soak time. When the oven returns to 2000F, pull the next bades out and plate quench.
