Hello,

Does anyone have any suggestions for a heat treating service. I usually do it myself but I have no way of discerning the hardness of blades so I would prefer to send them out.

Peter's Heat Treating in Meadville PA is who I use and is popular with many other members too.
 
try the makers forum, stickies there probably have all you need.

Rounding your profile out with where you live would also help.
