Hey guys,
I have a few knives I'm looking into upgrading a bit. I just want to put out a feeler to see if it can be done.
Let's say I have a microtech select fire, or a mini matrix
Both are black aluminum handles, black coated blade with standard satin colored hardware.
Is it possible to take out all of the screws / pivot and bronze them?
I like the look of black with bronze. They offer this on the mini matrix katana for example.. But it also has an ugly dragon on it.
Anyways is it possible to get the hardware colored or heat treated to look bronze? (I don't know if heat treated is the proper term but I think microtech has used it to describe bronzed hardware)I dont want it to be able to scratch off to easily though, so I don't think an anodize would work. That would probably chip when tightning the screws / pivot. But I don't know what I'm talking about.. so what do you guys think?
Can it be done?
