Heat Treated vs. Black Oxide Tiger Stripes?

I'm thinking of having the Strider Guys Tiger Stripe one of my Bead Blasted Striders. Mick says it can be done via a Black Oxide process. Now, some people claim that the Black Oxide process is used on some current model Striders, but I don't know which ones. I think it was S30V AR's and GB's.

Anyway, can someone post a pic of a Black Oxide tiger stripe? or preferrably, a comparison between the heat treat TS and the Black Oxide TS?

I think someone mentioned that Simonich knives are Black Oxide Tiger Striped. The problem is I don't really like the stenciled (sp?) look. No offense Rob. But would like to see if the Strider Black Oxide TS has a soft/faded/blended/feathered against the Bead Blast. You know, like the standard Tiger Stripes.

Thanks!

The only visible difference is that the Black Oxide stripes have no red color.
They are all black. The HT ones have a bit of redness to them.

Thanks Mick! I'll be in touch after next week.

Anybody with a comparison pic?

Thanks Lynn! Pics received and I can clearly see the difference. They look good. I expected the oxide to be a lot darker. But, I'm glad they are not. Thanks again!
