Can someone recommend a good heat treater for 5160?
Parang I need to get treated.
16 inch OAL, 10 inch edge.
looking for 57-58 Rockwell.
Pics.......
Thank You.

That parang looks like A LOT fun, but with the handle pinned and shaped already, I am curious about the plan to heat treat it at this stage?

At any rate, I suggest you also contact our own Darrin Sanders to talk this over.

For knowledgeable HT of smaller batches or one offs, and great one-on-one customer service, he will likely be hard to beat.

Man, I'm glad he's back to heat treating.

thanks Andy.

Modular one piece handle, slips on from the bottom, just pinned on for now.

That thing looks like a beast! I'll bet it is effective. Spelling, ah heck, if you spell and punctuate correctly most of us here wouldn't understand a thing.:p
