Heat treating in Detroit

Hello, I'm not sure it is appropriate to ask this question here but i am a relatively new knife maker and I'm looking for someone in the Detroit area who can heat treat a stainless steels like Elmax Vanax and Vanadis 4e. I am aware of Peter's Heat Treating and Texas knifemaker's Heat treating. But I would like to form a good working relationship with one treater who is nearby me. This may be a stretch but I figure this is the best place to start! Thanks guys.

From what I've been told, heat treat is very important and you should choose the firm based upon quality not location. A number of makers send their knives out of their local area for heat treat for this reason. You'd get a better answer in the Bladesmith subforums, report your post (triangle with exclamation point) and a moderator will move it for you.
