Hi all, New here so hello to all the members, I look forward to being part of this bustling community. I'm just making a few of my first knives and have learned enough about the heat treating process to know that I shouldn't be doing it myself with my ghetto methods. Looking for someone to do it right for a decent price. Preferably locally (Mass/New England) Hey maybe you guys have an oven you'd be willing to rent some space for!? The steel is 1095 hc cr. Thanks!

Welcome to Bladeforums.

Filling out your profile will be helpful. Knowing your age, location, occupation, and hobbies helps get better answers.

The stickies has a wealth of info. It has HT info and Ht sources.

The Bladeforums search engine is;
https://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=011197018607028182644:qfobr3dlcra
Put that in your browser bar and use it to find almost any question you have.

Many knife suppliers do HT, several of the members here do it, and there are dozens of professional HTers. If you are looking for a person to do one blade, there may be a nearby maker who will help you out. (That is where the location in your profile will help). Also, in The Exchange there is a subforum for Services wanted. Posting there that you need a few 1095 blades HTed will get replies from guys who know how to do it.
