Hello

I have recently run off a set of 52100 kitchen knives im making for a friends wedding. This is my first time making knives and i realize i have picked a finicky steel. i got the rough grind out pretty well and they are ready for the heat treatment. i used flat bar i bought from alphaknifesupply.com. The steel was requested by the customer and i have done a lot of research on how to finish them off, unfortunately i have gotten many mixed opinions and i do not know where to land. I also live in a city where building a forge is out of the question, my back yard is not suited for it and my workshop is in the basement of a building my boss owns and i dont want to risk burning it down. I have decided to swallow my craftsman's pride and let someone else finish them.

So my question(s)

where should i send them?

oil quenching or foil vacuum in kiln oven? (can i use a clay kiln? i know an art school with one)

since this was stock removal do i need to anneal it?

does it need the tripple quench? i read that oil quenching 52100 tends to oxidize more than others

why did i start with something so hard lol?

i know there is no right or wrong method and that everyone feels they do it best, but the abundance of opinions are confusing.

any info would help me.
