Stop removing material from the A2 blank im working on and have the heat treating/hardening done? And do i send it ruff ? Or should i try to get the finish close to where i want it b4 sending. Thanks !

Best ask your heat treater. Different processes produce different results and may dramatically alter the amount of post heat treat work you have to do.

A-2 is slightly different than stainless steels, but all steels need to be smooth and free from any deep scratches before HT. I usually recommend sanding to a good 400 grit finish as a minimum. As Rob said, depending on what method the heat treater uses, sometimes the blade comes back looking exactly like it left, thus reducing finishing time a lot. The big things to avoid are any potential stress risers, and having too thin an edge. With A-2, I would suggest an edge thickness of .030" and with stainless steels .020" .

No blade should be heat treated that could be described as, "rough".
