Heat Treating

Is there any place that will heat treat knife blades for me? I like to grind, buff, and tap my own blades, but I don't have the equipment to heat them. I'm talking about ATS-34 or US-8a heated to 58-60Rc.

Where do you live? There is a good chance you are close to custom makers which have their own equipment. I am very lucky... Chris Reeve's shop is on my way to work.

If not then Texas Knifemakers Supply will treat blades for $5.50. It's cheaper if you have larger quantities. TKS's phone# is 713-461-8632.
