I had to plug my outside freezer in tonight. It is now after midnight and +39F.I would sure hate to loose my winters supply of moose meat. Our winters here in the interior of Alaska have been mild for the last ten or twelve years. In November we had a few weeks that were -20 or colder but it has been a long time since we have seen extreme cold.Yesterday I took my 16 year old out ice fishing and within a few hours limited out on rainbows and char.We will start gaining daylight next week and it will soon be my favorite time of year.

Well it's freezing here in New Mexico! Send us some of that warm air, I want to ride my motorcycle!

It's 79 in Ft. Lauderdale. Supposed to be in the 80's tomorrow. Still can't ride a motorcyle though, too many tourists on the road. :D

Huh...wierd, eh? y'all are usually alot colder than us folks in Wasilla. It's been in the low forties the last few weeks here also. Mostly dirt and grass...not much chance for a white christmas....

How the Northern Lights been up there?

Aren't we at a low point in the solar cycle? Northern Lights should be at a minimum for a few more years.

Same in Calgary - we are expecting a temp of +8 deg C. today. There is a very strong chinook wind blowing. Pretty crazy considering a week or so ago, it was -20 deg C. which is where the temp should be. Our winters have also been getting milder here.

Don't The Northern Lights Contain Amazing Sources Of Riboflavin. If We Could Only Ship Some Here, We Could Convert It To Vitamin Q!!

Even a gerbil who is pure in heart,
and glows like the Northern Lights,
can synthesize vitamins -- it's an art --
to power his off-world flights!
