While the second one has holes to reverse the pocket clip, the first one doesn't. The second has the brand name on the blade and the first one doesn't.
Back to my question: are these the same?
Has anybody got a Heat from www.knifeworks.com ? If yes, which one?
Speaker,
Good question! Actually, they are two different knives. The first one without the Camillus etch is the plain Heat. The photo was probably taken with a proto knife. The second is the Heat with the black coating. Same knife, two different finishes. There is still no definite answer on just what the coating is but I would go with what Darrel Ralph says.
I received my Heat frome Knifeworks a couple weeks ago. It does not have the black blade, but it does have the Camillus etch on one side and ROBO POWER / AUS 8 on the other side. both sides of the scales have holes for the pocket clip, and there is even a wrench and additional attachment screws in the box to facillitate changing the pocket clip to the alternate side.
Speaker,
Both the black blade and the silver blade are the same high quality.
The pics I posted are of the prototype.
The production knives are marked with the Robo power , Camillus, Aus8, and D. Ralph on the knife.
