Heatbreak blem -- kothimoda by Bura

Thanks for help, Bill. I wish I could take pix like that.

I think this one is in the process of finding the right home. Stay tuned.

Those pictures made a world of difference....absolutely no offense, but it was the comparison of a product sold at an outdoor booth in Tijuana vs something under glass in the finest museum.

I'm gonna get a digital camera someday...and I sure hope it lasts. I Remember the trouble you've had with yours.

My brother recently bought a DC for $150 that's about five times better than this Kodak I paid $550 for. I always buy my stuff at the highest possible price it seems.

Those are really nice pics, Bill (Marsh):D . The engravings on the scabbard throat look like crossed YCS models! Yvsa should be proud. :)

Thanks for the compliments on the pictures. A beautiful subject makes it easier.

Glad that it it found the right home.

Rob,
Yes, I had to do it. I needed one just for its beauty. Good project also. When Pat finds ous, it may become our new household castration device.  Oh what the heck. I don't really need that thing as much as a Kothimodo, do I? :D She is used to me being screwed in the head anyway. Hopefully this one will be soooooo beautiful, she will forget to use it on my nads!!;) We will see....

That's great! Congrats on picking up this beauty. Of course you know this means I MUST see it in person at some point;):D

Good luck on the home front--and some titanium undies couldn't hurt any either:D Hell, you could make em at work!! Although that might be hard to explain to the boss:D

Uncle Bill,
I just got my Kothimodo Khukuri in the mail today. It really is a work of art! I look forward to making it perfect again. This will be one that needs to be displayed, that is for sure. I will start with the crack first, and let you all know how it comes out.

I can't imagine looking at some incredible blade under glass in a museum that does not have a hairline crack in the bone handle. Probably look fake without one.

You must be really happy. I wonder what it is like to see and hold one of those.
