heavily modified BK2 "LandShark"

Very cool. Do you have one of the S30v BK7's? I keep finding myself wanting to pick one up...

smart design IMHO. i love serrations at the tip, and can't stand them near the ricasso, for field knives. i could see opening up an elk with that thing.

i think you need to start talking to knife companies about mass-producing that, brother.

you did good.

I agree. That's the only knife I've ever seen that I liked the look of serrations on! You've made me want to get a BK2 and do the same thing to it!:thumbup:

veddy interesting ;)

y'all should post this "over there" too ;) for you know, historical record and all...

oh, perhaps you could get real sharkskin and make extra special grips ;>

Good job, Bushy! I like it! I would love to see the Landshark BK2 at the next meet up. :)
Also I like the lanyard solution (of course fatwood). :D

Ohh dear..........
Did you just say that serration have a place on a bush craft knife, and not only that but, but, but that it's works better on a classic bush craft favorite like the fuzz stick

I would look out for mobs carrying pitchforks and flaming torches around the neighborhood in the near future :D

On a side note: How did you do the notches ? they look pretty well even

And something I've always wondered, how does the wire breaker work, I've never seen 1 break a wire, but seen them on a few knives?

Nicely thought out and implemented, way to take a knife and make it your own. What better knife to do it to than the BK-2 as well.

I dig it. What type of file did you use for the jimping? A plain small round file? Rattail file?

HAWKINGS! the wire breaker is pretty simple, you put the wire into the notch (usually a barbed wire fence wire) and bend it back and forth until the wire heats up, fatigues and cracks apart.

Awesome-1.gif

Have you had any problems sharpening it? what do you use? I am just curious as to if you use the file to touch up the serations or if you use a sharpmaker etc.

Brilliant design buddy, but did you ever think of maybe putting the rope cutter on the spine of the blade as a res-q/seat belt cutter? No reason why you couldnt add one i suppose.

The BK2 was made for the exact purpose of making it into what you want. That knife is awesome.

I just use my diamond hones and freehand it. For the serrations i use a triangular ceramic stick
