Anyone have one? Built one? Know who sells one?

Looking for something to fit the plate the kmg can fit on. 18.5x18.5 I believe. Just want something I can roll outside and enjoy the sunshine while I grind. Heavy duty, wheels.

Love to see pics if you guys have one.

Build it with 2X4 and 2X6 lumber. Screw and glue all joints. Design it heavy, and then brace it heavier.

Realize that you put a lot of force into a grinder, and the motor ( usually 1-2 HP) puts a lot of force back into you. That energy will try and move the base if it isn't heavy and solid.

The best system is one where the whole unit tilts back on two wheels, sort of like a hand truck, and rests solidly on the legs ( no wheels) when upright and in use. For this setup, use 12" wheels and a 1/2" to 3/4" axle. Make a strong handle on the back side of the cart above the wheels to tilt it back and roll it with.

If you go with rolling the whole cart as-is, use heavy wheels with locking casters. It is better to have two fixed wheels and two that swivel. All should lock.

Here's a pic of my grinders (Bader & Grizzly). Both are on dolly/hand truck carts. I built the one for the griz from scratch but found it easier to modify and existing cart. They're easy to move but rock solid when sitting flat. I do 90% of my grinding outside. I love the natural light and it keeps a lot of dust/grit out of the shop.
