I finished this one last week and was waiting to list until I finished the sheath for once... But my fiance gave me a forced day off today and this was the only productive thing I could sneak in since I'm not allowed in the shop. :p

This is #2 of 2 heavy duty blades I did in the HT batch before last. I haven't done the "Brindle Hunter" style drop with swedge in a bit and figured it was about time. I picked out a really rich piece of amber buckeye for this one.

The blade is done in x-thick stock with a heavy duty edge, but it is still a slicing machine and will come past shaving sharp. If you want a tough and practical blade in a traditional style, this one is the ticket.

Very good fit and finish, excellent balance and handling, comfortable sculpted Gunstock handle. I take great care with all of the fitment on my hidden tangs to make sure they will stand the test of time (and are nice to look at).

CTS-XHP @ 60, .183" thick at ricasso
4" edge length, 9.5" oal
K&G Dyed and stabilized buckeye burl
Sterling silver pin and 416ss guard
White and black g10 liners

$225 shipped, price includes premium sheath ($195 w/o sheath). I priced this one to sell, have a big box of supplies to pick up in the morning.

Thanks!

I've been using this XHP for about a year now and am really starting to feel comfortable with it.

To anyone unfamiliar, it has been compared to an easy to sharpen stainless D2. It takes a very fine edge and holds it well.

I've been working continuously on my edge treatment on this steel and have started getting them to "show off sharp" on the last few. Users have been averaging in months of use before major edge maintenance.

My oldest daughter's husband is Brennen Hall, an omen perhaps? I'll take it. Send me your paypal info.
