Which heavy duty folder?

I originally voted for the Adamas, but changed my vote to the Presidio 2. You mentioned that you once owned an Adamas, and thought it was bulky. I own two of them, and yes they are. With that said I would go with the Presidio 2. It is still a full size knife with a slimmer profile. Lighter than the Adamas too. I'd give the Presidio 2 a try.

Both Adamas and Contego are too large for me. I owned a satin PE 154CM 520 for years and when I can, will own a P2.

I voted 570. I like the 810 overall but hate the handle. I'm not a huge fan of D2 so the Adamas is out. The 570 carries and cuts pretty well and is tough as nails. One of my favorite Benchmades.

I don't have any experience with of them except the Adamas. I absolutely love my Adamas. I bought it back in the spring and it is my edc.

I sold my 570 a few weeks back. Got the itch for something else but really have missed it. Ended up picking another up.

If I was a PO and using it on duty, I'd definitely get the presidio. Comfy handle, perfect blade shape/thickness, durable. I love the adamas, also, but if had a ton of other stuff on my belt the 570 would be more ideal. Sorry, but I do not like the 870, insanely painful jimping on the liners, hurts even just squeezing handle, overall too long for my personal preference, and don't really care for the blade shape. A mini Rukus might suit you well also, tho is kinda bulky like adamas.

I don't mind the blade shape on the Contego but the handle doesn't fit my hand at all. I agree about weight with all the other things you may be carrying.

The Loco has a build that's just as heavy duty as the Adamas; but has a blade grind that allows it to cut as good as (if not better than) the the 810 and the 570. I've carried all of them, but always seem to find my way back to the Loco.

Your Loco not go with the Loco

I just ordered a blacked out crooked river to carry on duty and replace my well worn and loved ZT 0562cf. I spent forever debating between D2 and S30V. I ended up going with S30V because I don't want to worry about rust.

Was S30V the right call? I'm second guessing myself a bit after watching a Russian guy beat the living dog sh*t out of a D2 Adamas and seeing how well the blade held up. I've had S30V before in a ZT 0350 but not long enough to get to know the steel.

I thought about CPM20 but from my understanding it's basically the same as CTS-204P, which I've chipped before on duty. Lastly, is there any way to check on my order? I've emailed BM but have not received a response. The anticipation is killing me.

I would of probably stuck with D2 , that looks way cool though. I'm going to order a Crooked River with D2 myself. I want a deep carry pocket clip on mine that will make it awesome and a black blade and tan g-10 with black bolsters and tan pivot collar and all blacked out hardware.

As a law enforcement officer, you might have a need to do some prying. The Adamas is the only folding knife I own that I pry with (just moderate prying, nothing extreme). The Adamas does very well at prying; almost like it was designed for that task in mind. For this reason I voted for the Adamas.
