In the process of looking for a larger, heavy duty, high-quality knife. Currently been carrying a Kershaw Skyline or Kershaw Blur. Looking to step it up with something like a Benchmade Adamas or Griptilian or an Emerson.

I've used my knives for cutting wood, rope, zipties, brush, and paper. This summer I'm planning to do some woods trips so I'd like something a bit beefier and bit better than one of my Kershaws for that. I will also probably be purchasing a fixed blade knife sometime soon too (Type 2 AK bayonet or an ESEE-4). Also I'm looking for a knife that could be used as a very last resort for self-defense in the situation so arises, but that's not a big concern of mine.

Personally I've been looking at the ZT 0350 and some of the Rick Hinderer designs they have, they look like their good solid designs.

Benchmade Adamas, can't go wrong with it. Mine is butter smooth, pull the lock back and the blade drops half open, solid lockup, no blade play. D2 super not fun to sharpen.

Was also looking at the CQC-7, I know that Emerson is a very good knife manufacturer as well. Also I've been browsing another forum asking for advice and I was literally told to buy a $50 Cold Steel folder instead of an Emerson or Benchmade since "Cold Steel knives are the best knives on the market"....

Benchmade Contego - M4 steel with axis lock. I think it's in your price range.

Great knife.

Very sexy looking knife, I'm not one who knows much about the steel of knives so do you mind telling me about the M4 steel?

go watch the hard use test of the cqc 7 and the adamas on youtube vininull channel, both locks fail..zt 0350 holds up
