Heavy duty folder???

what about a manix 2 xl
around 90 usd from what I have seen ( I don't live in the US)
I don't think there is any knife that is as strong as a BK 2, I would also rather a folding knife to be an efficient cutter and I don't care if It can take abuse because abuse is just that... abuse.
You have a point. This is "all in fun" anyway.

Benchmade 275 Adamas.

Another knife to look at would be the Boker Plus Todd Begg designed Field Marshall.

You might want to do a search for "Heavy duty knives" as the topic comes up quite regularly.

+1

Just took deliver of a 275 Adamas identical to yours and am I ever impressed. Though they vary quite a bit in size, up until now I've regarded my Buck/Strider 880 and Hest DPX as being pretty stout as far as folders go but this new Adamas is, IMHO first rate in the heavy duty department.

Some of my personal favorites for around a 100.00 ish or less:
ZT 0200 (can be found excellent condition used in this price range. Just have to look patiently)
CS Recon 1
CS Spartan
Boker Resurrection
CRKT M16 Titanium

For heavyduty knives ive got ZT301ST & Benchmade Adamas 2750 Auto the ZT is about 8.oz & 2750 is 7.7oz i think thats right i had to look them up again. Both blades are 3.75 i think. The ZT blade i think is thicker than my 2750 regardless love both of them. Thats my 2 cents on heavy duty folders.

Cold Steel Pocket Bushman. It's big, sturdy, and cheap. It's a solid knife that you won't feel bad about beating the crap out of. I would say ZT for obvious reasons, but I personally would feel a little wrong for whomping on one. At around $30, I'd beat and ruin a Pocket Bushman all day.

I'd save up for a ZT (or a forge beast ) but in that range, maybe a Spyderco Endura for one that has not been mentioned. I've beaten on my endura 4 (not the ffg, convex?) and it has held up pretty well..
