I bought this one as my first Active Duty from another forum member. Funny thing is that when I received another AD, this one seemed to be thicker. Using a basic ruler this one shows a blade that is thicker than 3/16" at the spine...it is thicker than the BWMs I own.
So I'm gussing it is a Heavy Duty...or a one off AD. If I'm wrong someone please correct me. This one has been handled a bunch and shows from the darker handles on the edges. Handles appear olive, but are darkening to black. Blade is coated black. The Busse logo is discolored to show some brown. The edge also has some discoloration of brown. I have not tried to clean or sharpen it as I did not want to make things worse. The tip has lost a tiny amount of coat as seen in the pictures. The shiny you see on the coat near the blade is some oil I put on the edge. I would expect some coat smoothing from the sheath.
Looking at the edge, I would say that this one has not been sharpened as I can clearly see the infi grain. This one comes with a Buy Brown kydex sheath and is begging to be used.
