As TW1112 noted, the Heavy Hearts are Black/Black only. No colors.
Unless Garth has something planned for this Knob Creek blowout....

You'll get much better replies in time but maybe this will hold you over 'til then.

A profile of Mag scales on my Hell Razor... The Mag has the large palm swells.

I asked the same question as you when i ordered my Hell Razor back in Feb. Mag or standard?? I got good advice from several people, especially djolney, who convinced me to get Mag.

After that experience, I managed to get Mag for my Heavy Heart. It wasn't a preference. It was a "gotta have it" kinda feeling. I hope that helps!

I only have one Busse to date and it is also the only one I have handled.

I have a SJTac. Mine is not the LE.
I haven't seen magnum as an option for the SJ.

I like the blade shape and size of the SJ a lot.

But, the scales are too slender (IMO).

I think they should have more of a palm swell.
I sure don't think the price of a SJTac is so low that corners should be cut in the handle area.

I have been collecting Rats.
All of my Swamp Rat micarta handles are thicker than the SJ and a lot cheaper.

$35.00 for thicker micarta!
Why is Busse charging so much of a "premium" for "magnum" scales?
Maybe $10 to $15 or so would be reasonable...

They are already charging quite a bit more for INFI.
Obviously, Busse is the higher end knife compared to the Rats.
So why are the handles thinner (overly thin!) on a Busse unless you ante up for "Magnum"?

My much smaller Dog Skinner and Rat Hunter have thicker scales than my SJ.

DWRW - The Mag slabs on my Hell Razor are MUCH more filling and comfortable than the micarta I have from either side of the house in Wauseon: Dog Skinner, Desert Jack, Ratweiler, Rat Mastiff, or Busse BIBB Bolo.

I have no experience with the SJTAC so I just can't compare. I think it's possible that that are a silent majority of Hog's who don't care about Mag handles and are happier with the standard width, just like there were probably a silent majority of us Rat's who could have cared less about the Mini and it's appeals for production.
