Heavy Metal

Great idea for a thread, Alan!:thumbsup::cool: I enjoy seeing the all-metal knives being posted here. My favorites are the ones with cast metal handles including some "artwork". I only have one of those myself, and mine is a cheap reproduction of one shown in the photo in the first post in the thread:

I do have a number of other all-metal knives, most of which are identical to, or very similar to, knives already posted here. But I'll "show off" some of mine anyway.

I have several knives with folded metal handles.

As a casual collector of boy’s knives and Alox SAKs, I have a few all-metal knives. Here are some favorites:

“Old Cross” Electrician Solo.

Knife for someone who hasn’t quite memorized their multiplication tables.

Cheap and cheerful.

Soldiers.

SAKs with only a single blade represent a subset of my collection. This is the smallest of the lot, and it was the hardest to find.

I'm finding this thread fascinating. The majority of my collecting efforts over the last decade have gone into chasing straight razors with metal handles. Really fun to see the variety of similarly hafted pocket knives.

Wow, lots of outstanding contributions here :)

I've never seen an all steel Whittler before. Thanks, Jack Black Jack Black ! I hope to get a chance to buff it up a little this weekend (I can almost read a tang stamp: "Joseph Westey?

Thanks for the info. And the knife, of course! :D

I really like all metal knives, particularly the aluminum advertising knives. I have managed to find one from various makers and styles over the years, including Ulster, New York Knife Co, and Schrade (Cut Co, Walden, and New York). Please forgive my terrible pictures:)

:eek: pocket clip! You cant post those here:confused:

I kid :p;) It is kinda neat to see original traditional knives with features that prove there are exceptions to the rule. There is a knife I've seen posted here, somewhere in the old knives thread I think, that has a half moon cut out in the blade to use a thumb to one hand open. Cant remember the person who has it,but I smile every time I see it because of its "modern" feature :D:thumbsup:
