Reposting because this thing needs an owner instead of just lying on the shelf at my house.
Dubbed "Snake Eater" by one of my friends this not too large sized bowie has a blade of around 9"
The handle is 5" of stabilized Spalted Sycamore. That is NOT round but has more of a teardrop shape to it with the point at the front of the handle.
Thus it will not be subject to rolling around in the hand.
The blade is a former farriers rasp that after grinding was buffed to a shine in 6 steps using compounds from black to Pink.
The Guard is textured and hardened 80CrV2 steel that was polished everywhere except for inside the texturing.
The pommel is an offcut of the farriers rasp and has been screwed on and secured with epoxy.
The clip is NOT sharpened.
Sheath is 3oz vegetable tanned leather. With a snakeskin inlay. Snakeskin was obtained from Kenny Rowe of Rowe Leather a few years back.
These knives knife will be shipped anywhere in the world for $225. (That's over $100 off the normal price)
