Heavy use has been well defined in this thread. Good thread Shotgun! I can state that I've never put any folder I currently have to heavy use, as defined here. I have cut cardboard boxes, but I don't do it often enough to consider it heavy use. I think batoning with a folder, prying with a folder, and digging with a folder ( all have already been mentioned ) would constitute the heaviest use you could put a folder through. Although I don't face these types of scenarios, I still like to have a knife that I think could handle such situations.
