Wow! Thank you for this post, Plumberdv. I don't know my Buck knives all that well and if I had been looking for one of those models I might very well have purchased one, not knowing it was a fake.

Interesting. I have a genuine China-made Buck Nobleman (bought, ironically, in a HIARNG PX), and it's a knife of quality. I think genuine Buck knives are all quality products, and these counterfeits are only going to hurt the reputation of Chinese Bucks and those who appreciate them.

Did some searching on the bay also, Buck knives and especially the vanguard are very popular with chinese copycats.

they remind me of the old style Paki knives that look like Buck 110's.....as they say boy's & girl's.... Just as you catch up to the RAT RACE along comes a faster RAT! there out everywhere.....

IMHO the overall number of Americans selling fakes/counterfeits has fallen substantially since this forum took an active approach to identifying the offenders. We have some pull here within our own country.

However, overseas vendors seem to be outside our reach.

1st if they are from CHINA good luck with that one....it will never happen, I hate to tell you this its probably up to BUCK lawyers & even if they could get a like cease and disist order or what ever as soon as they shut down one maker or distributor will pop up! like weasels and just move to another location/provence and set up shop. The Chinese Gov won't do a thing about it. You got major CORPS on the stock exchange who can't get judgements or even copyright infringement enforced even though the judgment goes in their favor. Some successes with Technology Pirating has been somewhat been fruitful. But don't hold your breath on this one about Knock Offs.....I think this has to be a grassroot campaign to put pressure on the [sellers] U.S does not have the Testicular Fortitude to hammer on China. They eat & even own our lunch box......

funny I happened to pick up a Damascus Bowie for my son b-day from Pakistan, so I thought? Then I found a blogger who said this man whose selling these knives are imported VIA U.K. but made in China......well there you go! You can't even get a Pakistan knife anymore with out it coming from CHINA....LOL who would've imgained....
