I left this one a full 1/4 inch thick in the choil area to give it some heft.

Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Flat grind
Hand sanded to 400 grit with some hammer marks on the flats
Brass and water buffalo horn guard
Stabilized curly maple handle
Overall length: 11 3/4 inches
Blade: 6 3/4 inches
Riveted leather scabbard
