Well I've held my Tops Tracker for bigcountry73 and the email of MountainMan1155 @aol.com since 5/11. Asked me to hold it until payday and now no emails have been answered since 5/15, the day before they were to send payment?

I'm glad I didn't pre-ship the knife and didn't want to have to post here, but I don't want anyone else getting burned.

Edited to make email not a link.

Ah well, it could be worse as you said, you could be without the merchandise, maybe something came up that his payday money needed
to be spent on, just put it back up for sale i guess.

...and maybe something came up that required TW_Knife to raise some money quickly.

Just about every situation you can think of "could be worse." That doesn't make this one any better.

Once again, a lack of communication has made a situation much worse than it should have been. In other words, it could be worse, but should be better.

Well,I feel for you, sucks when this stuff happens.FYI,The last post under bigcountry73 was 5/11.It is possible something has happend to his puter or to him.Take Care

Never pre-ship. I had somebody say they were interested and sent me an e-mail from their "friends" e-mail address. I said to them I needed them to confirm identity with a real e-mail address, give me an address, a phone number, and their age. It was because I was sending a Benchmade balisong I wanted my butt covered. I was going to ask for check and decided that it would better with money order to keep us both honest. They wanted me to pre-ship and gave me all these references of people on the forums who they traded with. I said they would get the knife after I recieved payment. They could confirm my identity with name, phone number, and address. Not long after, they said they got into a car accident and couldn't follow through. Never heard from them again. All I can say is $#it happens.

I understand things happen, trust me! :) I just wanted to make sure no one else might pre-ship or simul-ship unless they know the person. Also, letting people know even if you're backing out is a big help when you have other people interested in the knife that would've actually paid.

I've simul-shipped before and have never had any problems, just glad something told me not to on this one. The last email I got was on 5/15 stating the money order was coming, that's why I waited two more weeks and a couple emails later before posting.

If they can't show a very positive year or more history then forget shipping anything.Positive meaning plenty of interaction & transactions not just talk in the Discussion Forum. If they are true knife nuts and straight forward people then they wont have any problem understanding these proceedures while biulding their reputations.
