I wanted to take pics, but they didn't want any taken.

Anyway the Lionspy is real nice....smooth, solid, and definitly a must buy.

There is also a "Gayle Bradley 2" in the works.....alot lighter....not sure if i like it though. Eric was there and said that he's not sure if they will pursue it because of the popularity of the original, and they're still having a hard time keeping up with demand.

Also held the new "Vallotton".....WOW, i was blown away by the fit and finish...seems Spyderco has stepped it up even further this year.

Yes the lion spy was amazing.

What blew me away was the lightweight manis 2. When they mean light weight, they mean LIGHT. The gayle Bradley "air" was also really interesting.

Thanks for the update...wish i was there!!

Totally agree with you on the Vallotton, I'm absolutely loving mine and the quality and sturdiness is amazing!!
Spyderco is most definately nailing it lately, and I see them winning a few awards this year for sure.

damn I would love to see pics of the gayle bradley 2.. can you tell us if it was still a liner lock or something new?

I held it. It's about the beefiest Spyderco other than the Ed Schemp which I forgot the name to. I saw all the protos. The Sage 4 is really nice as well. The Lum folding tanto was sheer awesomeness. Ended up talking to Sal for quite a bit after he showed the Yojimbo 2, which I used to segue into a conversation about the Jani-song which he'd like to put into production some time in the future after he works out the ergonomics. I asked him if he thought it'd see production within the next 10 years. He said he'd like to get it into production within the next two years, but of course that's all relatively speaking (IE: not a confirmation).
