Sorry... I've been using my HH more than anything else this Spring/Summer. It should get some use soon, though! :D I'm in for a t-shirt! It seems like the HR lovers are a small percentage of the HOG population, though I can't imagine why.

Probably because there too new. I think mine is awesome, though I'm only a piglet. Maybe I'll even get a camera one day so I can show it in a good thrashing!:)
 
howlinwolf, I had them triple dipped in black dye, comes out cool, I also had a HH done that I recently sold......I like how it comes out:thumbup:

Mine is going to be a user. None of this wrapping it in red silk ( ;) ) and tucking it away in some dark safe stuff..... :grumpy:

I plan on puting mine on my BOB.. :thumbup:
 
I love my HR as well.

Valleytinworks, I see you also stripped your HR's. Do you have any trouble keeping them from discoloring? Or do you just give 'em a dab of oil and not worry about it?
Also, what did you take to strip them?
 
Damnit! I just ordered another one (OD with black scales). What the HELL is wrong with me? Why would anyone need three of these?

That is an Okuden. I purchased the same shealth with Tech-Lok for my HR with Mag handles. I was so impressed with the sheath from Okuden that I sent him a War Boar, MOASH, and Mad Warden for sheaths to be made as well. Contact Brian and you will be happy with the results.
 
Give HK a cookie! :thumbup: It was Okuden. When I say the blade snaps into this sheath with authority you have got to believe it! I mean WHACK!!

He is right about the snap. The sheath has awesome retention. I use the Tech-Lock to place the blade on all of my load outs to include my ruck and web gear. The sheath has enough retention to allow you to carry the blade handle down with no worries. With some practice, pushing the blade out of the sheath with your thumb, you can get it to release very quietly, if you are concerned with noice discipline.

I can attest to this fact, My Ak came with Black canvas scales that nearly matched the (gray) blade. After less than one day of fondling they became nearly black. (I cannot put this thing down!)
