Hell with the women, What are YOU carrying?

Well, I've been pretty happy with this combo for some time now...

Spyderco Li'l Temperance PE Leaf Blade
Spyderco Chinese Folder PE
Spyderco Jester, Lime Green, SE
Leatherman Micra
Photon II
Mini-Maglite AAA

Cheers,

My response is :- WHAT THE ...

I carry :-
1) LP Surefire Z2 Combatlight in a Kydex scabbard I made
2) Nokia mobile (must be some kind of uniform code here)
3) Wallet with Knifemaker's Guild, Knife Collectors' Society cards.
4) own personal EDC - 3-1/2inch mini Bowie with O-1 blade, Red Deer stag handle, QD paddle scabbard
5) car keys with Photon light, security keys for the hospital
6) Hospital pager
7) Another of my own mini knives I call ECT (Emergency Cutting tool) - O-1 steel 2inch blade skeletonised Red G-10 handles in Kydex sheath in vest pocket.
8) Gerber Applegate-Fairbairn Covert combat folder in right trousers pocket.
9) 3 pens in my breast pocket (insert nerd jokes now. One is a nice looking but cheap pen made entirely of steel, for use as a makeshift Kubotan.

In the old days, add Glock 19 plus 1 spare 19rd (Glock 17 with Plus-2 attachment) magazine.

No joke this is my EDC. I always wear a vest to cover up everything, it changes the entire demeanour. I also wear my own custom made nylon suspenders to hold up the entire lot !

Cheers.

Well, I carry my keys, wallet, Fossil titanium watch and my Bob Dozier Straight Personal in a horizontal belt sheath. Sometimes added to that is either a Case Trapper in the rigth pocket or a Benchmade BM43 or BM46 in a G2 leather sheath. Not much compared to some of you, but it serves me pretty well. I would like to add a little BM31 in my pocket or around my neck sometime as well.

I usually find time in my EDC rotatation for a DA SOCOM. :D

Almost all of the weight is in the handgun, ammo, and multi-tools. The rest of it comes to around two pounds all together, which really isn't much.

That's pretty cool - I figured it would weigh a ton. At least you're well prepared! Stay safe.

:D

Do many of you rotate your "primary" knife daily or weekly, or even monthly? I know I do. I try to stay with the same action as much as I can because a radical change tends to throw me off a bit and I also try to stay with tip down carry as 9/10's of my knives are that way.

Where I was carrying the JW Smith Scimitar on Thursday, I now have a JW Smith large LS-1 Eighties model which has a blade that is a pure sticker. Imagine the Al Mar Shrike blade without the false edge, a bit wider, and thicker and you have the 80's blade. But the action, mode of carry, and tip down are all the same.

Anyone else rotate this way?

Not anymore. I used to rotate somewhere between weekly and monthly, but since I got my Darrel Ralph Mini-Maxx it has not left my side.

I agree with you about sticking with a similar mechanism when trading out knives. I don't rotate, but I do reposition. The place I work has a 4" blade limit, so I can't carry my secondary EDC, a Camillus CUDA Maxx. :grumpy:

When at work my Mini-Maxx is clipped to my right pocket. The rest of the time my larger Maxx lives there and the Mini-Maxx moves to my left side. With that arrangement I never have to change my draw. I love having a matched set in different sizes. :D
