Hey guys, first post but long time lurker here!

I recently decided to upgrade my Mora to something a little more high end and ended up ordering a Helle Alden (and now the knife bug has bit and I'm already in eyeing the Utvaer to have a full tang wood handle knife for the collection).

It just arrived today and it's as gorgeous as I expected, but there's one minor flaw that is bugging me for a knife from a company known for quality control...

The glue from inside the handle seeped up ever so slightly on one side of the blade! It's barely noticeable but it's there.

Is there any way to get rid of this without damaging the integrity of the blade? Not a critical problem just would be nice to fix a minor nitpick.

Some knife makers I know use a small scraper made from brass to remove any dried excess glue from knives. They use brass because it is significantly softer than steel so is less likely to cause scratches.

If it's hard and you can find a piece of alum. with a 90 degree corner, just place it against the glue and tap it with a plastic mallet. it should come off.
