helle knives any good??

Most of those Norwegian brand knives are a steal of a deal. Great little knives for the price they sell for.

I haven't actually cut anything with mine (I'm not a 'user'), but the build quality is very good. Beautiful knives and a good deal for the $$ considering the excellent reviews, craftsmanship, and aesthetics.

Best Wishes,
-Bob

Yes good quality hard workers, and usually nice and light! I love my Jergermeister!

I'm a dummy I've spent so much time at ragweed forge I get the names confused... I meant brusletto (sorry) In particular the profileringskniv...forgive my mistake.... THanks.

Pretty much all Scandinavian knives are at the least "usable", which is something you definitely can't say about Chinese or Taiwanese knives for example. Helle makes good stuff. :)

Have owned and use three, Brakar, Fjellkniven, and.... ohhh hell I can't spell it. All three were very well made workers for the price.

Pit you guessed it....I promised the wife the next knife purchase would be the last one for a while so I got to make it a good one.

Nice blades, super sharp and somewhat handy in the garage or the truck. Norway makes some sweet knives.

Brusletto makes very good knives. I've used one of theirs extensively. I also have a Wood Jewel knife that works really well, only it came with a secondary bevel I had to grind out. I think most of the pukkos you'll see on Ragnar's site will serve you very well.

I know exactly what you mean mate, mine has said the same. They don't understand the decisions we have to make eh ?
I thought I had found my perfect one with my Spyderco Temperance...perfect blade design, cuts like a charm, VG10 steel and then I found out it had a partial tang....yeah I know it should never break but it's that nagging WHAT IF ?
Then I got a Street Scrapper 4...perfect, INFI steel, what could be better....but then I thought a 4" blade is just a tad too short for my main knife and then they shot up in value so that decided it a safe queen it was to be !
My NRA Snody , I love it but I have said it before, I cannot trust a stainless blade 100%....yeah I know a lot will shoot me down in flames for saying that but it's that nagging WHAT IF again !
My Blackjack Grunt...yet again Stainless and like you said maybe a little large !
My Ka-Bar D2....the only WHAT IF with this is that the end of the blade has a false edge on top and this destroys your batton when battoning !!!
So where do I stand now ? Well my wife has a Scrapyard Dumpster Mutt put away for my birthday in May and I think I have finally found my perfect blade....tough if I haven't cos I won't be getting anymore for a while !!! It ticks all of my boxes though 5" blade,High Carbon steel,10" overall length, Kydex sheath by Leatherface and a lifetime warranty !!!
Best of luck stopping your WHAT IF'S mate !!!:D

Helle knives are great -- I love my Eggen -- but the Scandi sheaths in general suck: cheap, thin leather, slots instead of belt loops, no welt. I threw mine away and made a proper leather sheath for it.
